Competition Terms and Conditions

1.General

1.1. No purchase necessary.

1.2. Entry to the competition is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions. By entering you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.

1.3. The promoter of this competition is Cheapflights, Momondo Group, Control Tower, One Alfred Place, London, WC1E 7EB, United Kingdom (the “Promoter”).

2. Conditions of Entry and Eligibility

2.1. In order to enter, you must visit the Internet competition website at https://www.cheapflights.co.uk/news/bluemonday-giveaway/ and enter your email address. You must also accept the competition terms and conditions. It is not compulsory to share the competition on Facebook or Twitter to enter the competition.

2.2. Sharing the competition on Facebook or Twitter is an optional function of the competition. By sharing, the entrant is automatically eligible for the £100 bonus prize spending money if they win. This will be issued on a prepaid travel card

2.3. The competition start date is Monday 16th January 2017 at 07:00 GMT. The competition closes on Tuesday 31st January 2017 at 21:00 GMT. Entries after this date will not be accepted.

2.4. There is a limit of one entry per person daily. Multiple entries from the same email address will be deemed void and will not be accepted.

2.5. This competition is open to all residents of the UK aged 18 years and over. Employees of the Promoter and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner), its agents, or anyone professionally associated with the competition are not eligible to enter the competition. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.

3. The Prize:

3.1. The main competition prize is two return flights from any UK airport to the Canary Island of your choice (either Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura), with Thomas Cook Airlines. Flights are subject to availability.

3.2. The prize winner must depart and return from their trip between the dates of 1st March 2017 and 30th November 2017. The winner must travel as part of the prize.

3.3. The flights must be booked before 31st May 2017. Should the prize winner not book their flights before this date, the prize will be deemed invalid.

3.4. Flight is for the economy cabin which includes 6kg hand baggage per person per flight, 20kg check in baggage per person, per flight and three course James Martin Meal as standard.

3.5. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-refundable, non-transferrable and is not convertible to cash.

3.6. Thomas Cook Airlines reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions (including flying dates) or withdraw this promotion at any time for any reason without prior notice to you.

3.7. It is not compulsory for the entrant to share the competition to Facebook or Twitter to enter the competition. Sharing the competition on Facebook or Twitter is an optional function of the competition. By sharing, the entrant is automatically eligible for the bonus prize of £100 spending money if you win. This will be issued on a prepaid travel card.

3.8. The competition winner is solely responsible for any and all other costs or expenses associated with the prize that are not specifically included in these Terms & Conditions, including, but not limited to, additional accommodation fees, transport to and from the respective airports, meal costs, visa, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.

3.9. The Promoter holds no responsibility or liability for the winner (or accompanying passengers). Insurance is not included in the prize. The Promoter strongly advises the winner to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their trip. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any flight cancellations and, therefore, advises the winner to ensure cancellation is included in their travel insurance.

4. Selection of Winner

4.1. The prize draw will take place on Wednesday 1st February 2017 at 3 p.m. (GMT). The final winner will be selected at random using a random prize draw generator.

4.2 The selected entrant will be contacted via Email within one (1) day of the draw.

4.3. The prize must be accepted within ten days of receipt of the Email referred to in clause 4.2 above. In the event of non-reply, a supplementary entrant may be selected by draw at the Promoter’s discretion.

4.4. The prize winner may be required to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your name, city of residence, video image and/or photograph in any related publicity or online posting without compensation.

4.5. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, amend, terminate or withdraw this competition at any time, with no obligation or liability, subject to any applicable law.

4.6. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into

5. Other

5.1. All entries become the property of the Promoter upon receipt and will not be returned.

5.2 The Promoter assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries, for any failure of the website during the competition period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating and entering in the competition.

5.3 Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this competition is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Promoter reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

5.4 Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically produced, mutilated, forged, falsified, plagiarised, altered or tampered with in any way.

5.5. For the name of the prize winner, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope marked Export Yourself Competition, Cheapflights, Momondo Group, Control Tower, One Alfred Place, London, WC1E 7EB. No entries should be sent to this address.

5.6. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the competition and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.

5.7. The Promoter has organised this competition in good faith and does not accept liability relating to the prize.
