Fans of CSI may want to book flights to New York for October as a new interactive attraction dedicated to the TV show opens at Times Square.

Tickets for the new multi-sensory, interactive attraction CSI: The Experience are on sale now and will open at Discovery Times Square in New York on 1 October. The new attraction promises to challenge visitors to take on the role of a crime scene investigator and solve a number of true-to-life crimes.

The hands-on experience, which is designed for children over the age of 12, as well as adults, includes everything from DNA, blood spatter and fingerprint analysis and even forensic anthropology and toxicology tests. It was developed with the assistance of 175 forensic science experts to offer an authentic and scientific element to the attraction.

Guests are guided through one of three scary-looking crime scenes and 15 forensic lab stations with video messages from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation creator Anthony E. Zuiker. Fans of the show will not be disappointed as a number of past and present CSI cast members such as Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle and William Petersen, as well as many others, also make appearances on the video screen.

Located at 226 West 44th Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenues) at the crossroads of Times Square, Discovery Times Square is New York City’s first large-scale exhibition centre specialising in limited-run, large scale exhibitions.

CSI: The Experience will run every Sunday to Wednesday from 9am to 8pm and Thursday to Saturday from 9am to 9pm, with the average experience lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.

General admission will be $25 per person. Tickets can be purchased online now at DiscoveryTS.com/Exhibitions/CSI.
