With a range of stunning backdrops from windswept beaches to scenic cliff-top restaurants to choose from, it is no wonder that holidays provide the ideal opportunity to reignite the flames of love.

While many are happy to indulge in a spot of holiday romance with their partners or a local Adonis, for some women the thought of whispering sweet nothings into the ear of anyone other than an A-list celebrity on their travels just won’t do.

Research by latedeals.co.uk has revealed the top 10 celebrities on the holiday romance “lust list” for women aged 18 to 35. Topping the poll was fresh-faced Team GB diver Tom Daley, with 46 per cent of the vote, while Prince Harry took second place (41 per cent) – a position that may have been secured by the Royal’s blush-worthy antics on a recent holiday to Las Vegas.

Third and fourth places were occupied by footballer David Beckham (39 per cent ) and Thom Evans (32 per cent) respectively.

Christian Grey, the fictional protagonist from the Fifty Shades of Grey novel, took fifth place with 30 per cent of the vote. (Fifty Shades of Grey: How the steamy novel is set to boost US tourism)

X-Factor judge Gary Barlow (27 per cent) took sixth place, with Olly Murs (23 per cent ) and Simon Cowell (20 per cent ) in seventh and eighth place respectively.

Funnyman James Corden (15 per cent) and former star of The Only Way is Essex Mark Wright (14 per cent ) took the last two spots in the Top 10.

Further findings from the research revealed the top holiday romance destinations. These included Ibiza, Cape Verde, St Tropez, Marbella and the Algarve.

Latedeals.co.uk’s online marketing manager Calum Macdonald says: “After representing our country in such a fantastic way at the games, Tom has plenty to be proud of, and now he can add this to his list of achievements!

“I’m not surprised Ibiza came out on top as the number one destination for a holiday romance as it really does have something for everyone.”
