Peak Season:
During the summer, especially July and August, Faro is crammed with tourists who are escaping for some sunny weather. A lot of flights to Faro are booked for half-term breaks during the spring, around Easter and in autumn time. This means the beaches are normally very busy, making cheap flights to Faro can be harder to come by. The night of the 24th and the day of the 25th are the celebrations of Liberation Day, which is full of music and festivities. There are also festivals in the first two weeks September which was when Faro was given a city status. If you are more concerned with the price rather than the events then look outside of these celebrations to find the cheapest flights to Faro.
Off season:
You can discover cheap flights to Faro during spring and autumn, as long as it’s not during the half-term weeks. The weather is normally warm and pleasant and there are less tourists around. To have the best chance of finding the cheapest flights to Faro, look to get your flight tickets from between October to early December. It can be quite rainy at times though so make sure to pack clothes for the season.

If weather is an important factor for your trip to Faro, use this chart to help with planning. For those seeking warmer temperatures, July is the ideal time of year to visit, when temperatures reach an average of 24.0 C. Travellers hoping to avoid the cold should look outside of January, when temperatures are typically at their lowest (around 12.0 C).
The cheapest flights to Faro are normally booked around 7 weeks before departure. If you can book earlier then you can increase your chance of finding cheap flight tickets. Remember that if you’re planning to get your flights to Faro during half-term, festivals or within the summer months, the prices will be more expensive the later you book so be sure to get your flights sorted as soon as you can.

The journey was good on the whole. We had bikes with us so the dedicated oversize luggage lane at PMI was welcome. The flight was great, staff friendly as always. The only thing that lets down the return flight is the immigration at BHX. The separate area used by Jet2 is far too slow, I think we queued there for over an hour compared to generally going straight through or a 5 minute wait with other operators in the main facility at BHX. I know you will say that it's the responsibility of the airport, Home Office etc, but you really need to apply pressure to get this sorted out.
