Got me there and back on time. Except for a 30 min maintenance delay, but that meant more time for nap. Crew was super nice.

Located on China’s beautiful easterly coastline, Qingdao is the perfect blend of urban excitement and natural beauty. One of the city’s most important landmarks is Zhan Bridge, which makes for a very atmospheric stroll. Huiquan Bathing Place in Huiguan Bay is arguably the most popular bathing spot in the city, thanks to its clean, soft sand, clear water, and gentle waves that make it ideal for swimming. The Golden Sand Beach, with its lovely warm waters, is another great place to visit. Head down to Badaguan Scenic Area to see elegant gardens and a unique mishmash of foreign villas and other attractions. Mount Laoshan, which towers over the city, is renowned as the birthplace of Taoism in China. There are several hiking trails around the mountain, so you can choose one to suit your schedule and hiking ability, and enjoy superb views over Qingdao. Climbing to the peak of the mountain is a very exhilarating experience, and it takes between two and three days to get to the summit of the mountain and back down again. The city has so many wonderful restaurants to explore, and it is particularly famous for its local, traditionally cooked, clams.
Most locals and visitors in Qingdao use public buses as their preferred means of transport. This is because the city is quite hilly, making walking, or using bikes or motorbikes, impractical. There is a very good public bus network in the city, and this is complimented by special tour buses that will take you to key sights (along with an informative guide on hand to answer questions), and long distance coaches to other cities. Ships, sea and river ferries taxis, and the railway are other methods of transport available in the city.
Getting to the town centre from Qingdao Liuting International Airport (TAO) is very easy as there are 5 different shuttle buses that you can take to get to various destinations in the city. The journey is around 14 miles (23 km). You can also hire a car, or take a taxi, to make this journey. Many car hire companies will enable you to book your vehicle online before you travel, and will have it ready for you to pick up when your flight arrives at the airport.
