On domestic flights, infants under two years may travel if an adult holds the infant for take-off and landing. No more than two infants can be held for take- off and landing per row of seats. To ensure a seat with an FAA-approved child restraint you must pay for the seat. Children ages two and above are charged the applicable adult fare. On international flights all children must have a ticket , regardless of age. The price of the ticket varies according to whether you hold the child or purchase a seat. The fare for a lap child is approximately 10 per cent of the adult fare. If you choose to purchase a seat, the discount varies by country of origin, destination, season, and fare type. In some cases, no child discount is offered. Delta Shuttle offers special youth fares for anyone between the ages of 12 and 24.
