The Central and Eastern European carrier Wizz Air first took flight in May 2004. Based in Hungary and Poland, flights are available from Cork, Doncaster Sheffield, Glasgow Prestwick, Liverpool and London Luton to destinations such as Budapest, Gdansk, Warsaw, Katowice and Poznan.

The check-in desks close 40 minutes before departure. If you have special service requests or special needs you should check-in two hours before departure.
Hand baggage: One piece of hand baggage is permitted, with a maximum weight of 10kg and maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20cm. A personal item, such as a hand bag, umbrella or pair of crutches is also permitted.
Checked: A baggage fee of £9 / €10 per bag per flight is charged when purchasing online or through the call centre. This rises to £18 / €20 at the airport.
Excess: The total allowance for all checked-in luggage is 15kg. An extra 5kg can be purchased online or through the call centre for £4 / €5, but that rises to £65 / €75 at the airport. Subsequent pre-booked weight brackets are 5-10kg (£24 / €30); 10-20kg (£64 / €80); 20-35kg (£112 / €140); and 35-55kg (£160 / €200). All of these prices rise substantially at the airport.
The date and time of the flight can be changed online up until three hours before the flight departs for an administrative fee of £26 / €30, plus any difference in the cost of the new flight. If the new flight price is lower no refund will be given.
Passenger names changes cost £43 / €50.
