Friday September 12: XL Airways and the XL Leisure Group has entered administration and all flights have been cancelled.
All passengers who are due to fly with the airline are advised seek flights with other operators.
Those travellers whose holiday has been booked as part of a package through an ATOL tour operator will be protected and should visit the CAA website for full details: www.atol.org.uk
The airline's website XL.com advises that passengers who booked directly with the airline or on its website will not be protected and should check their travel insurance or credit card issuer to obtain a refund.
