Airline Overview
Since it purchased BA Connect in March 2007, Flybe is Europe's largest regional low-cost airline. Its route network is 70 per cent domestic UK, 20 per cent European business and 10 per cent European leisure destinations.
Flybe's major bases are at Birmingham, Southampton, Belfast, Manchester, Jersey, Guernsey, Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. It is the largest scheduled airline at Birmingham, Manchester, Norwich, Exeter, Inverness, Southampton, Isle of Man, Belfast City and the Channel Islands. The airline operates out of more UK airports than any other airline.
For domestic flights, the desk closes 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time with hold luggage and 20 minutes before scheduled departure for passengers with hand baggage only. For international flights, check-in closes 45 minutes before departure time with hand baggage and an hour earlier for those putting luggage in the hold. Online check-in is available at 18 airports including Aberdeen, Birmingham, Dublin, Glasgow, London Gatwick, Manchester and Southampton.

Hand luggage: 10kg maximum for one piece of hand luggage, not exceeding 45 x 35 x 15cm.
Checked: 20kg for Economy passengers, 30kg for Flybe Economy Plus passengers. The cost to Economy flyers of checking-in a bag is £12 per bag per one-way flight. A discounted rate of £7.99 per bag applies if booked up to two hours before departure via Flybe.com. There is no charge for Economy Plus flyers. The maximum permissible weight for a single item of checked-in baggage is 30kg.
Excess: items charged at £9 per kg.

Changes are permitted up to two hours before departure for £25 per person per sector plus difference in fare paid and lowest available call centre fare. Changes can be made online or at the call centre, except for name changes, which must be made by telephone.

No child fares, but infants under two years and on a parent's lap can fly for 12 per cent of the adult fare on domestic routes.
