- Lloret de Mar is the busiest resort on the Costa Brava with the most hotels, some of which are high rise. All the beaches have been awarded the EU’s blue flag for environmental quality, and you can get away to more secluded beaches such as Santa Cristina.
- The well-tended gardens of Santa Clothilde are laid out like an Italian classical garden. The dark green of the trees bordering the terra cotta colored walks and the turquoise sea in the distance combine for some satisfying color therapy.
- Join in or watch the procession on St Christine’s Day (July 24) to celebrate Mass at the hermitage outside the town. Part of the procession is by boat, as the overland journey proved too hazardous in years gone by.
