Roadworks near Manchester Airport

People driving to Manchester Airport are being warned that roadworks on a nearby motorway may cause delays and extend their journey time.

Bridge strengthening work is to take place at the junction of the M60 and the A5103, Princess Parkway, which feeds into the M56 motorway and Manchester Airport.

Lane restrictions will be put in place on the surrounding slip roads while work takes place during the evening and at night, but the airport is advising people to allow for more time for their journey.

The roadworks will start on July 7 and will be in place for approximately nine months.
