Faubourg Marigny, New Orleans
Forget booking into heartbreak hotel to mend a broken heart, if you’re single there’s no better place to mend your mojo than in New Orleans. Known to be one of the friendliest cities in the whole of America, a trip to this southern locale is the best place to dance yourself back to happiness. Head down to Faubourg Marigny, aka the epicenter of everything great about New Orleans’ rich culture, and get mingling with the locals.
Brooklyn, New York
It’s the city that never sleeps. So if you plan on forgetting all about that ex you should visit NYC and not sleep either. Explore Brooklyn, one of the city’s trendiest neighborhoods, and sample the best of its café and craft beer scene in Williamsburg and visit the impressive Barclay’s Center over at Prospect Heights. Come sundown, take advantage of the great array of clubs and music venues at your disposal.
San Diego, California
As the second largest city in Cali the chance of finding a summer fling to help you get over your broken heart is fairly high. Failing that, you can always pitch up somewhere along San Diego’s 70-mile stretch of coastline and simply soak up the glorious sunshine.
Las Vegas, Nevada
It isn’t called Sin City for nothing guys… There couldn’t be a better playground for the newly-single-and-ready-to-mingle crowd. From pool parties at the Grand Hotel to checking out the club scene at The Mirage or The Bellagio, if ever there was a destination to rally your crew and party hard it’s Las Vegas.
Miami, Florida
Put down that tub of ice cream and don your swimwear because nothing will put a smile back on your sorrowful face like a week, (or two), spent enjoying the baking sun, turquoise seas and bright white sands of Miami. Head down to South Beach or Little Havana for a well deserved beachside break.
