Bruce Springsteen, everyone’s favourite American rocker, has proved he’s still got it by scoring his ninth UK number one album.

Wrecking Ball is The Boss’s 17th album, and sees him collaborating with the E Street Band once again. The album was launched to critical acclaim last week, and went straight in at number one.

We’ve come to expect no less from the rock legend, who has had an eclectic music career spanning four decades. He has been rocking the socks off fans the world over for as long as we can remember, but what have been his most memorable live performances?

Born in the USA Tour

One of Springsteen’s most successful albums, Born in the USA was released in 1984 and sparked The Boss’s longest and most successful tour, taking in arenas and stadiums around the world.

Spanning three continents across the globe, with 156 concert dates, the Born in the USA Tour came at the peak of Springsteen’s popularity.

Magic Tour

Another huge tour for Springsteen was the Magic Tour, in 2007 and 2008. It was the first time in three years that he had performed with the E Street Band.

It was another huge outing for Springsteen, taking in 100 shows in the US and Europe and grossing more than $200 million.

Working on a Dream Tour

The follow-up to the Magic Tour, the Working on a Dream Tour was a much more low-key affair. And for the first time in his career, Springsteen decided to include music festival dates on the tour.

Playing at legendary festivals like Glastonbury, Springsteen delighted fans throughout Europe and America with more than 80 shows in 2009.
