Airport Overview

Terminal Transfer | Getting into Town | Car Parking | Information Desks | Airport Facilities

One of three airports serving southwest Turkey, Dalaman International Airport is the perfect entry-point for tourists looking to access the golden Turkish Riviera areas of Datca, Marmaris, Gocek, Dalyan, Sarıgerme, Fethiye, Oludeniz, Kalkan and Kas.

Flights to and from Dalaman International Airport are provided by a number of airlines, offering connections to more than 120 destinations across Turkey, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Featuring a new terminal building – the ATM International Terminal, which cost around $150 million to build – the passenger transit experience at Dalaman Airport is said to be improving day by day. If nothing else, the use of natural lighting in the main lobby of the terminal building is a really nice touch.

Getting into Town

Located just 5.5 km (3 miles) from the centre of Dalaman, it is possible to walk from the airport into town. While obviously this is not recommended if you are unfit or carrying heavy luggage, it is a flat route that takes about an hour to complete.

Taxi: Taxis are, regrettably, your only option for accessing downtown Dalaman from the airport. They can be found on the kerb outside the International Terminal. The trip shouldn’t take more than about 10 minutes and shouldn’t cost more than ₤12. If there’s no meter in the taxi, be sure to agree on a price to your destination before getting into the taxi.
