La Guardia Airport is run by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey along with JFK, Newark, Teterboro and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport. It is the smallest of the three airports. About 21 airlines offer domestic and international flights. More than 25 million flyers use the airport annually.

Getting into Town

Road: Taxi: Official taxis are available to all areas from in front of all terminals. Bus: There are many buses, which run from the airport to all areas of New York. The New York Airport Express Bus runs a service to Grand Central Station. An hourly service also runs to Penn Station. There are MTA New York City Transit services to Manhattan and Queens. Shared-ride services also run door-to-door services on demand. Ground transportation information is available in the Arrivals areas of all terminals.

Car Parking

Short-term and daily parking is available in car parks 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Long-term parking is available in car park 3, although there are limited spaces. Additional long-term car parking is located in private off-airport sites, which are very close to the airport and can be accessed by following the ‘P’ signs at the airport exit. Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs are located in all terminals. Bureaux de change can be found in the Central Terminal, the US Airways Terminal and the Delta Terminal.
Eating and drinking: There are many restaurants, bar and fast-food outlets in all terminals.
Shopping: Duty-free shops are located in the Central and Delta Terminal. Newsagents are located in all terminals. Other shops, such as gift shops and bookstores are located in the Central, Delta and US Airways Terminals.
Luggage: All left-luggage facilities are currently suspended at the airport. Trolleys are available in the Delta Terminal. A lost property service is available (tel: +1 718 533 3988).
Other facilities: The airport has a medical and dental service, and a family assistance restroom.

Airport Disabled Facilities

The airport is fully accessible to disabled travellers and is equipped with ramps, lifts, disabled toilets and TDD phones. Unaccompanied disabled passengers should inform their airline in advance of any special assistance they may need. All car parks have dedicated disabled spaces.

Airport Conference and Business Facilities

Business and conference facilities are located in the Laptop Lane business centre (tel: +1 718 424 1301) at the Central Terminal. Eight individual cubicles and a conference room for 12 people are available; all are equipped with desktop computers, a five-line telephone, fax machine, laser printer and data ports. Fax and internet services are also available at the Business Traveller Centre located in the Central Terminal. Wireless internet is available in the Central Terminal.
