The latest city to be featured in our Best tours in Series is the wonderful city of Sydney. There is so much to see and do and a million-and-one tours available. It was hard to narrow it down, but here’s the first part of cheapflights.co.uk’s list and check out the second part of it:

Hunter Valley Gardens

First up is a tour of the Hunter Valley Gardens with sydneytoursrus.com. If you want to see some of Australia’s most-loved animals up close, why not go for morning tea at the Wildlife Park with koalas and kangaroos. Explore each of the 12 gardens and be amazed by the sensational sights, sounds and smells of the stunning feature gardens.

Hunter Valley wines

Once you’ve visited the gardens, why not sample some of the Hunter Valley’s best wines with boutiquewinetours.com.au and its fascinating wine tasting and tour? Visit Iron Gate Estate, one of our favourite boutique wineries in the Hunter. Enjoy the behind-the-scenes tour of the wine-making process with a personalised tour, tailored around your needs.

Tour for foodies

Cultural tours

For the more traditional foods that Sydney has to offer, sign up for the EcoTreasures Cultural Heritage Harbour Experience. Groups of up to 20 people can tour the harbour and find out about traditional native bush medicines and foods as part of your guided cultural heritage walk. Unfortunately you can’t sample the medicines but an Aussie lunch is provided so you won’t go without!  You can also discover Indigenous Cultural sites and play a didgeridoo. A great way to enjoy the amazing harbour views.

With so many fantastic views on offer, you might want to try snapping some of it for friends back home. Sydneyphotographytours.com offers a professional photographer teaching you digital tips during a three-hour tour through The Rocks, Sydney’s historic birthplace.
