Bmi has announced it is to launch new flights to France and Morocco from London Heathrow.

The airline will fly daily to the popular holiday hotspot of Nice in southern France from 25 August this year, with flights increasing to twice a day from 30 October 2011.

The new route to Agadir in south-west Morocco will kick off twice a week from 29 October this year.

bmi’s chief commercial officer, Joerg Hennemann, said, “Located on the south-east coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea, Nice has long been a favourite year-round destination and we are delighted that our customers now have the chance to discover this cosmopolitan city with convenient schedules.

“The addition of Agadir will enable us to meet the increasing demand from both corporate and leisure customers,” he added.

As if that wasn’t enough, bmi has also announced that it will offer five flights each week to Marrakech and Casablanca in Morocco as of 1 October this year.

The airline plans to roll out a new service to Amritsar in northern India on 13 October this year.
