If you’re in Bristol next Tuesday, you might spot our Cheapflights wingman flying through the sky, as he attempts a wingsuit jump that will take him underneath the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Pro stuntman Gary Connery has undertaken more than 500 stunt roles during his career – best known for being the Queen’s stunt double in the 2012 Olympic Games. Yep, that was him parachuting through the sky in a pink dress.

This daring jump will see our wingman travel in a helicopter up to 2,000ft before leaping from the aircraft in a specially designed suit. He’ll reach speeds of up to 100miles-per-hour in a lightning quick 30-second descent. He’ll fly beneath the famous bridge – coming within 20ft of the mighty steel structure then releasing his parachute at around 200ft to land safely on the banks of the River Avon.

Rest assured, a clever team of health and safety professionals have meticulously calculated the jump to ensure a safe landing. The hazardous challenge is reliant on a number of external factors on the day, including adverse weather conditions and the strength of the wind. If the wind surpasses 15knots on the day of the attempt, our wingman will be forced to postpone the challenge.

Tune in next week to see every second of the thrill-seeking flight footage.
