Aer Arann, the Irish regional airline, is offering a 75 per cent discount on children’s fares. It’s part of the airline’s “Fair fares for kids” promotion that is running until midnight on Sunday, July 12.

The discounted fares apply to children aged 2 to 11 years. Up to four children, travelling with an adult, may avail of the discount on a single booking.

To nab the bargain flights, book as normal on Aer Arann’s website (www.aerarann.com). The discounts will be shown on the Flights Selection page.

Aer Arann flies from London Luton to Galway and Waterford and from London City Airport to the Isle of Man, among many other routes. The airline also flies from Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Blackpool airports to cities in Ireland. From Ireland, there are flights to Jersey and northwest France – Lorient, Nantes and La Rochelle.

Unlike several other low-cost airlines, Aer Arann offers allocated seating, no check-in fees, a hand luggage allowance of 7kg and free baggage allowance of up to 15kg. Watch out for the handling fees.
