Ryanair has launched its biggest ever sale: six million “free” (pay taxes and charges) seats across its route network.

Passengers will be able to choose from 269 routes, departing 21 airports across the UK, but tickets can only be booked up to midnight on September 10.

Other restrictions mean travel can only be taken between October 1 and February 7 2008 with a number of blackout periods when tickets won’t be available at such low prices covering half-term holidays and the Christmas period.

Sinead Finn, Ryanair’s head of sales and marketing, said: “Why not catch up on the last of the European sun in Spain or Italy, check out Christmas markets in Germany or deck out your winter wardrobe in Milan, Rome, Dusseldorf or Brussels. Whatever your fancy, a European break has never been cheaper or easier with Ryanair’s biggest-ever seat sale.”
