I’d recommend people travel to Suriname because it’s one of the few countries in South America that people don’t travel to (excluding the Dutch). The people of Suriname are extremely welcoming and friendly and they also have great things to see in their part of the Amazon rain forest. The capital city of Paramaribo is a perfect blend of different cultures and its cuisine will entice anyone’s appetite. The combination of cultures that live in Suriname will astound you; the capital is the only place where you can find a Jewish Synagogue and a Muslim Mosque sitting right next to each other. It’s very easy to get around the country as well as arriving unlike the other Guyana’s. It’s also one of the easiest on your wallet. During the rainy season people drive around on boats turning the city into a real life water world.

Top Travel Tip: if you’re planning on going to the Guyana’s skip French Guyana and only go to Guyana for the Kaieteur Falls. Base yourself out of Suriname, it will be cheaper and you will enjoy your stay more.
