As the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gear up for their tour of Canada as their first engagement as a married couple, someone else has beaten them to it.
Charley Boorman – famous for travelling from London to New York via motorbike with Ewan McGregor in Long Way Round – has kicked off his journey across Canada for his latest adventure.
TV personality Boorman embarked on the epic trip across the world’s second-largest country by motorcycle on 9 June. He’ll begin on Canada’s east coast, on the island of Newfoundland and will explore much of the country over the next six weeks.
Boorman’s Extreme Frontiers Canada Expedition will also show him checking out some of Canada’s most extreme activities, including kayaking with killer whales, dirt biking and deep sea shipwreck diving.
The daredevil’s latest adventures can be tracked online through his Twitter feed at Charley Boorman or the website – http://www.charleyboorman.com/ – and a TV series will be shown at the start of next year on Channel 5.
