Dublin-based Aer Lingus is the national airline of Ireland. It flies more than 40 routes across Europe, the UK and Ireland and serves an expanding list of long-haul destinations in the United States, as well as Dubai.
Aer Lingus Teoranta was first registered as an airline in 1936 and has been operating scheduled services ever since. The airline floated on the Dublin and London stock exchanges in late 2006 and has since announced its focus on providing a low-cost model. As a result it withdrew its membership from the oneworld alliance in April 2007.
