If you’re a fan of keeping things cool, either when you’re at home or away, a ski holiday in the Austrian Tirol could be just the ticket.

The Tirol Tourist Board’s selection of ski holiday packages has something to suit all budgets. Here is just a taste of what is on offer:

 

 

SkiWelt

For less than £400 per person, travellers can explore Austria’s largest interconnected ski, the SkiWelt, with 279km of pistes to suit all abilities.

Staying at the Schindlhaus apartments in Söll, visitors can also enjoy the thriving nightlife and numerous venues for après ski on offer in Söll.

Departing on March 23, Directski (directski.com) has seven nights at the self-catering Schindlhaus Apartments in Söll with prices starting from £344 per person, based on four sharing, including flights from Gatwick and resort transfers.

 

 

Kitzbühel

Famous for being one of the most cosmopolitan resorts of the Alps, Kitzbühel has something to offer everyone, from its beautiful medieval town centre and up-market nightlife to its varied ski terrain.

For £445 (previously £595), holidaymakers can enjoy a seven-night, half-board stay at the 3* Hotel Strasshofer.

Departing on March 23, the package with Thomson Ski (thomsonski.co.uk) also includes flights from Gatwick and resort transfers.

 

 

Alpbach

The mountain village of Alpbach now boasts a new ski area, Ski Jewel, opening up a combined area of 145km of pistes.

Departing on March 16, Iglu Ski (igluski.com) has seven nights at the 4* Hotel Alpbacherhof on half board with prices starting from £539 per person (was £568) on half-board basis, including flights from Gatwick and resort transfers.

 

 

Mayrhofen

Mayrhofen will play host to the Altitude Comedy Festival from March 18 – 22, featuring some of the biggest names in comedy, including John Bishop, Marcus Brigstocke and Germany’s top comedian Michael Mittermeier.

Departing on March 16, Crystal Ski (crystalski.co.uk) has seven nights at the 4* Alpenhotel Kramerwirt in Mayrhofen on half board basis with prices starting from £686 (was £832) per person, including flights from Gatwick and resort transfers. A full week festival wristband is £177.50.
