From May throughout the summer this neighbourhood exhibition space in Long Island City teaches sustainable life-skill workshops for adults. Classes include urban farming, composting, soap making, building with reclaimed wood, screen-printing and fishing.
Adventure with Urban Park Rangers
Rangers manage every park in the city. When not on patrol, these friendly folk lead visitors on free hikes, canoe outings, fishing trips, bird tours, and workshops, all with the aim of enhancing outdoor skills and revealing the natural marvels of New York’s urban ecosystem.
