The inability to check in with the final leg of our flight via the Aers Lingus app led to a stressful trip as the final leg was overbooked and we were not able to confirm a seat until we had arrived to Chicago. Lack of earphones for the "entertainment" system were not voluntarily provided or even referenced as available (even for a charge) while boarding the plane - this seems like an oversight.

The lack of headphones impacted our ability to enjoy the entertainment system provided. The fact that my last connection was associated with an "affiliated airline" that did not allow me to retrieve a check in or a boarding pass via the app almost posed a significant issue as the last leg of the flight was overbooked and we were stressed about getting a seat as a result.
