Cheapflights.co.uk has triumphed again at the Website of the Year Awards, taking home the Best Travel Site prize for 2007.

The awards are won by those sites scoring the highest average on content, navigation and design, and are voted for by consumers. This year more than 550,000 votes were cast, up from 350,000 last year.

Reclaiming the title for the second time in a row indicates the continuing popularity of Cheapflights, which pioneered the online travel price comparison model in 1996 and receives 5.25 million global unique user visits each month.

There are 18 categories in the Website of the Year Awards, with 320 websites nominated. Other winners include household names such as Google (Most Popular Search and Find site), Amazon.co.uk (Most Popular Shopping site), Wikipedia (Most Popular portal), and YouTube (Best Video site).
