Users of iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry devices can make use of the new app – and a brand new website – which showcases the very best of the region in New York State. The app and site both offer detailed information on accommodation, eateries, events, attractions and suggest some of the best outdoorsy activities on offer.
Executive director of the Adirondack Regional Tourism Council, Ron Ofner, said,“The new mobile website and Adirondack travel app will act as a guidebook, GPS, map and travel agent all in one. The app’s ‘what’s nearby’ function also allows travellers to check out what’s close to them when they are in certain locations.
“More than 10 million people visit the Adirondack region annually and these new features will make travel decisions easier,” he added.
