UK-based Air Charter Travel is celebrating 20 years as one of the leading air charter brokers.
The travel company specialises in offering exclusive air charter and jet hire services to private individuals, as well as those in the corporate sector. Over the past year it has also seen significant business growth in group charters.
Tim Procter, Managing Director of Air Charter Travel, spoke about their recent growth: “Business is up 13 per cent compared with this time last year and we are seeing more interest for 160-190 seat aircraft. Clients are also booking further in advance – often up to five or six months ahead is now the average.”
“We’re noting that business travel arrangers are returning to air charter as they need to do business efficiently and we offer a solution to what could otherwise be a real travel challenge when moving large numbers of employees around,” said Mr. Procter.
Last month Air Charter Travel transported 700 VIP executives from car manufacturer Audi on return trips between the UK and Munich. Specialist flights with set prices meant that the competitive airline could carry 165 passengers aboard the specialist Titan Airways Boeing 757.
The customised flight meant that VIP passengers, who were involved in an intensive training course, began work as soon as they boarded. Each business passenger was handed an interactive tablet from Air Charter Travel to use for training purposes during a two-day schedule.
Mr. Procter claims this makes charting aircraft “invaluable” and that companies can make the most out of their flight experience by being able to work and save time. This would “be almost impossible to replicate on a scheduled flight.”
In its 20 year, Air Charter Travel Ltd has handled more than 140 flights, carrying more than 23,000 passengers across Europe, South America and China.
