The neighbourhood of Lower Manhattan in New York City is the place to be seen this summer.

A new campaign, which kicked off on 1 June, will showcase the attractions of the area, offering great deals and discounts to visitors. Alongside discounts on hotel stays, visitors can pick up money-off vouchers at various shops, eateries, bars and attractions.

The Get More NYC: Lower Manhattan – which has been launched in a bid to show the recovery that the neighbourhood has made following the 9/11 attacks – will welcome passengers arriving for their Big Apple break at JFK Airport with decorations and posters.

Michael Bloomberg, New York City mayor said, “A crucial part of the story of September 11th is how Lower Manhattan – an area many people said would turn into a ghost town – has come back in the past ten years.

“People from across the country and around the world have contributed to its revival, and now we want our visitors to see that full recovery for themselves,” he added.
