It’s Festival Friday again, and this week we’ve gone all fashionable for the Reykjavik Fashion Festival in Iceland.

The four-day event may not be as well known as the likes of London or Paris Fashion Week, but it is still effortlessly cool. So, what can you expect from Reykjavik Fashion Festival?

The event got underway with a fashion show from the Iceland Academy of Arts, with the country’s brightest young designers and fashion students displaying their work.

This was followed by the fashion industry’s favourite pastime – a big night out. Bars and venues across the city played host to designers and industry insiders to kick the event off in true party style.

Today sees the show get down to some serious fashion business, with a number of designers putting on shows around the city.

Designers like Mundi, Hildur Yeoman and Kalda are all putting on shows today, displaying their cutting edge winter and autumn collections.

This is followed by (you guessed it) another evening of late-night partying, with DJ sets from Iceland’s biggest up-and-coming acts.

The third day sees Reykjavik Fashion Festival go all interactive, with talks, presentations and audience panels taking place throughout the day.

There is also a question and answer session with some of the designers and others in the fashion industry, for festival-goers to find out as much as possible about the industry.

Reykjavik Fashion Festival is only in its third year, but with the quality of designers and impressive collections it is sure to get bigger and bigger each year.
