It has been a good travel week for…

Flights to Tallinn, Estonia. Ryanair announced late last week that it would fly to Tallinn from seven cities in Europe including London Luton and Edinburgh airports in the UK and Dublin Airport, Ireland.

Sri Lanka. The Post Office Travel Money’s Long Haul Holiday Report has it top of the list for offering the best value for money, knocking Thailand off the top (cheapest) spot.

Ryanair. Again. The Irish low-cost airline has seen its passenger figures soar by 12 per cent in September to almost seven million travellers.

Cebu Pacific Airlines, which used Lady Gaga’s “Let’s Dance” to liven up an in-flight safety demonstration last Thursday (September 30). The demo was filmed, posted on YouTube and has already got more than six million views.

But a bad travel week for …

Those considering taking flights to France and Germany. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has upgraded its warning of terrorism in those countries.
