This is the belief that informed a recent competition, run by Avis and assisted by the judges from Getty Images.
Aspiring snappers were asked to send in their most beautiful photos, captured on the road.
Marc Arstall from the UK went head-to-head with Aurélie Lemellay from France, who just pipped him to the post in winning a £5,000 dream holiday from British Airways and having her image used in a future ad campaign.
