Iceland Express, which flies from London Gatwick to Keflavik and Icelandair, which operates services between Heathrow and Keflavik, have announced procedures for passengers holding tickets for travel today.

Iceland Express expects the airport to be open later today and has updated scheduled departure times. A flight to London, via Copenhagen, is expected to operate as normal at 8pm. Latest information from the airline is available on its website.

Meanwhile, Icelandair has announced that the airport is expected to open at 6pm but passengers holding tickets for yesterday (22 May) and today are entitled to apply for a refund or rebook for a later date. It is expecting to operate the following flights this evening:

FI454, depart Keflavik at 6pm, arrive in London at 10pm
FI455, take off from Heathrow at 11pm, arrive in Keflavik at 1am

FI456, depart Keflavik at 6.05pm and arrive in London Heathrow at 8.05pm
FI457, leave Heathrow at 11.05pm and arrive in Keflavik at 1.05am.
