With more reality shows than we know what to do with at the moment, we are certainly getting our fill of celebrity action. (Featured image is by gorfor)

Whether they are being judged on their dancing, judging other people’s singing or putting themselves through gruelling challenges in the Australian jungle, our favourite celebs are certainly putting in the hours.

But it’s not all dance-offs and Bushtucker Trials; there is still some glitz and glamour to be had in the form of award shows and parties. So, where have the rich and famous been this week?

London

With the illumination of the Christmas lights on Oxford Street the countdown to Christmas has officially begun. This year the honour fell to Robbie Williams who flicked the switch before performing his hit single Candy.

The thousands of fans who braved the cold were also treated to performances from Leona Lewis and boyband Lawson.

Australia

Everybody’s favourite jungle-based celebrity reality show is back on our screens, having kicked off in fine style last night.

The line-up of celebs is the usual mixture of soap stars, showbiz veterans and the occasional “who are they?!” person who seems to be there just to make up the numbers.

This year’s cast includes heavyweight boxer David Haye, alongside former Dr Who Colin Baker. Eye candy is provided in the shape of Made In Chelsea’s Hugo Taylor and Corrie babe Helen Flanagan.

I’m A Celebrity has a unique selling point this year – it’s the first time a sitting MP has gone to the Australian jungle. Tory MP Nadine Dorries has courted controversy by appearing on the show, much to the dismay of David Cameron.

Germany

The German city of Frankfurt was awash with music stars this weekend as the MTV Europe Music Awards took place.

Some of the biggest names in pop descended on the city for the awards ceremony, which was kicked off in style by Rita Ora.

Other big performances included Canadian Carly Rae Jepson, with her super-catchy hit Call Me Maybe, and South Korean pop sensation Psy.

The big winner on the night was Taylor Swift, who walked away with three awards for Best Female Act, Best Live Act and Best Look.
