Thomsonfly is warning passengers on flights to Naples Airport early next month that they face disruption as work takes place on resurfacing the runway.

The airline has said that the closure will see flights operate into Rome Ciampino Airport, resulting in a coach transfer of around three and a half hours.

Naples Airport has said work on the runway will begin in the evening of June 3 and continue until early morning on June 7, impacting on its operations.

Thomsonfly will provide buses to transfer passengers to Rome on its Naples to Manchester services on June 4 and 6, with coaches waiting to collect travellers landing at Rome for transfer to Naples.

Naples Airport is advising other passengers who may be affected by the runway work to contact their airline before flying.
