Travelling with a young family can be tough, so life assistant experts have offered some handy tips to make the journey easier.

Life assistance company CPP has advised parents travelling with kids to plan as much in advance as possible – preferably online – to remove some of the stress of the trip.

Services such as web check-in and electronic boarding passes make this easier to do. This also means that families have to spend less time at the airport.

The company also suggested that families look into flying from a small, regional base, which could be far less crowded and stressful than departing from a main hub such as Heathrow or Gatwick.

CPP’s Joanne Gibbons, said, “We’d urge families to have a strategy for staying calm prior to boarding – by checking in online, minimising the amount of luggage they check in and taking advantage of airport lounge opportunities.”
