Virgin Australia has kicked off a new low-fare system on all its domestic flights.

Travellers keen to explore the land Down Under can make the most of great savings through the set-up, which includes different levels of tickets – Saver, Flexi and Premium – with the cheapest starting at a bargain AU$109 (£71).

The new tickets will apply to flights to many of Australia’s hotspots, including Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney.

Those opting for the Flexi tickets will be able to change their flight details for free until the last minute, along with a checked baggage allowance, food and drinks voucher and priority check-in.

Premium class flyers will nab unlimited food and drink, an even bigger checked baggage allowance and access to the Virgin Australia lounge.

Commercial group executive for Virgin Australia, Liz Savage, said: “With this new offering we are able to deliver genuinely simple and easy-to-understand fares, the choice of what you want included and incredible value for money.”
