You can forget Michelangelo’s David. So what if he’s naked? Here are some sculptures that will raise your eyebrows so high they’ll be left floating above your face.

L.O.V.E. by Maurizio Cattelan – Milan, Italy

This huge middle finger in Milan is far from middling. The artist says the missing chopped fingers of the statue are an anti-fascist statement.

However, its placement outside the stock exchange has been remarked upon by many who reckon it may be a less-than-subtle statement on the country’s business and financial practices.

Cheap Flights To Milan

Proudy by David Černý – Prague, Czech Republic

This depiction of two guys urinating on a map of the Czech Republic is surprisingly popular. Perhaps it’s because certain parts are mechanised and onlookers are invited to text messages that will then promptly be written/sprayed out. Absolutely splashing!

You can find these two directly outside the Franz Kafka Museum in Prague.

Santa Claus by Paul McCarthy – Rotterdam, Netherlands

This massive gnome is apparently holding a Christmas tree. Except it looks absolutely nothing like a Christmas tree to most of the citizens of Rotterdam.

Its home was to have been at Schouwburgplein by the municipal theatre and concert hall, but locals rejected it. It now stands in Eendracht Square in the city centre.
