When is the best time to fly to Lismore?

The humid, subtropical climate of the region creates warm temperatures for most of the year, with high rainfall. During the summer months the humidity levels can reach 100% in the city centre. Heavy storms may occur in spring and summer. The most comfortable time to visit is January to March, November and December. Temperatures at this time average between 20 to 30 degrees.

The annual Lismore Lantern Parade sees more than 25 000 people line the streets to see illuminated creatures pass by. This event is held in June on the Saturday which is closest to the winter solstice. Easter festivals are also held in Lismore as are celebrations of the Queen’s birthday in June.
