Cruises were once the preserve of the rich and glamorous, but now, happily, they’re accessible to all of us. We’ve all heard of tours of the Mediterranean, but cruises are available all around the world. So you can see some far-flung destinations from the luxury of your cruise ship.
Antarctica
When we think of cruises, we think of basking in the sun and bathing in the sea. There is often sun in Antarctica, but we don’t think you’ll want to take a dip.
Alaska
Another chilly destination, Alaska offers even more wildlife and incredibly views than Antarctica does. And during the summer months, it’s not as cold as you might think.
Indian Ocean
The Indian Ocean has some of the world’s most stunning islands, and there are all sorts of cruises to choose from. From the coast of South Africa to tropical lands such as Madagascar and Sri Lanka, the Indian Ocean has an abundance of wonders.
New Zealand
The Land of the Long White Cloud has enjoyed a boom in tourism ever since Peter Jackson used New Zealand’s most beautiful places as sets for his Lord of the Rings films. The landscapes are breathtakingly gorgeous ranging from undulating wine lands, geothermic pools and jagged-peaked Southern Alps that seem to puncture the skies above.
