This summer proved to be the busiest on record for Bournemouth Airport, with passenger figures exceeding 100,000 over three consecutive months.

Between June and August the airport handled a total of 338,870 passengers, with the most popular destination proving to be Palma, closely followed by Girona, and Prestwick, while Dublin and Malaga featured in fourth and fifth place.

Peter Duffy, managing director of Bournemouth Airport said: “We are delighted with the month on month increase in passenger figures for summer 2007. Bournemouth Airport aims to provide an excellent choice of destinations for travellers and hopes passenger figures will continue to rise over the coming months.”
