Getting married abroad can be one of the most exciting and wonderful experiences of your entire life. Not only will you spend the most romantic and happiest day ever in paradise but you’ll get to have an extended honeymoon with your sweetheart and spend some quality time with your loved ones, family and friends. Each year destination weddings are growing more popular, and over the past five years, LV= says that more than 280,000 people have travelled abroad for their wedding.
We know that even though it’s an exciting time, it can be stressful to plan a wedding overseas, so to make the process run smoothly and help brides and grooms stay relatively stress-free, we recently wrote an eBook on Getting Married Abroad. But, even more exciting than our eBook is that we’ve interviewed a range of wedding experts to bring you the most valuable information and we are pleased to be able to share what we’ve learned as a podcast.
We interviewed an editor of Confetti.co.uk to discuss issues around the venue you choose for your big day, and how to make sure that the planning runs smoothly even if there’s a distance or language barrier.
We asked the editor of Hitched.co.uk to share some of her best tips on wedding fashion, trends, and making destination weddings unique and personal to the couple. We spoke to a wedding photographer and asked for his best advice on getting the photos you always wanted, how to choose a photographer and if there are any special considerations for couples choosing to marry abroad.
Finally, we asked the editor of Wedding Ideas Magazine to share why she thinks destination weddings are growing in popularity, how couples can stay organised and ensure that their day goes off without a hitch, and how the etiquette for destinations weddings is different to that of weddings at home.
