Located in Wisconsin, the city of Oshkosh offers a fun mix of adventure, entertainment, historic interest, arts, crafts, and culture to enjoy. From the Sawdust Days Independence festival, which offers amusement parks, fireworks and Native American exhibits, to the Waterfest and Art Walk there is entertainment and cultural activities to suit just about every taste. Over the festive season, the Festival of Lights is held in Menominee Park where visitors can enjoy lights, music and sleigh rides. The annual country music festival is a great time to visit the city. Aircraft and air travel is very much a constant theme in the area and the EAA AirVenture event is a global aviation event which is one of the area’s most well attended attractions.

A good mix of restaurants is available in the city, from eateries selling steaks, seafood and sandwiches to pizza and other casual meals. The food is good, affordable and restaurants are warm and friendly. The Paine Art Centre and Arboretum houses the local museum while the Oshkosh Public Museum showcases the history of the area, from its pre-settlement days to modern times.
