Moraira flights and travel guide

Moraira is an old fishing village on the southeastern coast of Spain. An attractive resort, the Balearic Sea laps against its beach and mountains stand at its back.

It's a favourite with expats and retirees as well as visit-once-a-year tourists for its Blue-Flag beaches, traditional Spanish feel, weekly markets, charming Old Town and waterfront eateries and bars.

The busier Costa Blanca resorts of Javea, Calpe and Benidorm are close by.

Moraira Insider Information

• Swim, be towed on a banana, sail or just enjoy the many local beaches. There are attractive old stone fortresses and watchtowers to explore as well.
• Be here for a festival. The summer ones are held at the beginning middle and end of July, as well as the first weekend of September. It is a chance to dance, drink and join in with local life.
• Drink sangria which is made of red wine, lemonade and often all kinds of other secret ingredients, usually poured from a jug.
