When you fly to Lanzarote Island, you’ll alight at Arrecife Airport (ACE), which is about 7km from Arrecife city centre. Most holidaymakers will stay at either Arrecife, Playa Blanca, or Puerto del Carmen. To get to Arrecife city centre, you can take buses 22 or 23, with a journey time of about 10 minutes and a fare of about £1.25. Buses 161 and 261 can take you from the airport to Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. The fare to Puerto del Carmen will be about £1.25, while to Playa Blanca, it will be about £3. You can also take a taxi from the airport to Arrecife city centre for about £11; to Puerto del Carmen for about £14, or to Playa Blanca for about £40. Taxis are also the quickest services, just be sure to hail one from the official taxi rank outside the airport terminals.
