January to May is a great time for flights to Trinidad and Tobago as the weather is warm, dry but not overly humid. How to get from the airport to the city centre?

Port of Spain:

The Piarco International airport is 27km outside of the Port of Spain and you can get there in a couple of ways. Firstly, and the cheaper option, you can decide to get a bus. They operate Monday to Friday from 6:30am until around 8pm. The other method you can consider is to take a taxi. They are more expensive but they can be a lot more convenient especially if you have a lot of baggage or want to go directly to your hotel rather than finding your way from the centre. If you can split the fare with a friend then travelling by taxi can be a great alternative.

Tobago:

Once your flights to Trinidad and Tobago land in Tobago you don’t have too many choices to find your way to your accommodation. If you want to be organized and plan ahead then secure some form of shuttle or pre-arranged taxi service to collect you once you arrive. Other than that you’ll need to take a taxi. They are very safe for the most part and generally well-priced although make sure you agree on a fee before you begin your journey.
