Great staff, no wait time, upgraded from a sedan to an SUV for no extra price. There is a huge difference in price from picking a car up at the airports or picking it up at eg. 555 Bell road. (3 times more money). We were fortunate enough to get a car for 1/3 the price. Kayak and Enterprise did a good job.

I didnt get to rent this car because flight was delayed, and this business closes at noon on Saturdays. I should have had a normal car for $165, instead I landed at 4pm saturday 3/18/23 and had to rent some crazy contraption of Turo, because the only alternative was to rent same car from Enterprise at the airport for almost $785. So I toured Arizona in a 2 seat turbo convertible owned by some guy with about as much trunk storage as a glovebox in a normal car. I mean there wasnt so much as a map pocket or a drink holder. I dont know who I am more pissed at Enterprise for staffing their offices so lightly or Frontier airlines for randomly rescheduling flight times, but you both suck.

The wait to pickup a car was more than 3 hours. I left and went to another company, was out of there in 15 minutes. Budget did nothing to get the line moving quicker, they didn’t even communicate with anyone. 3 hours!!! And it was like this a few months ago too. Never again.

I went to pick up my prepaid reservation and was told they didn't have a vehicle for me. I was also informed they would not do a refund. I asked about my reservation/contract that was paid for, the manager stated that I could call Hertz corporate but he and I did not have a contract and it was not his problem. I tried to explain that when I made a reservation and paid for it that is a contract. He wanted nothing to do with me. I went to another rental company for a vehicle and am now fighting to get a refund. I will not use Kayak again if this is the company standards the represent.

I was charged for a gallon of gas when I had just filled it up. The clerk was adamant it wasn’t full. The nightly drop off box didn’t work, and the smirky clerk said the next day everything was working fine.

I had an awful time with the 949 W Camelback Rd Phoenixaz, Phoenix, AZ 85013 location. My flight was delayed so I was unable to pick up my car before the locations closing. So I called customer service the morning after, was told they would hold the car for 24 hours. I arrived at the location, they said that customer service is wrong and that they will not hold the car for more than 2 hours. So they gave my car to someone else and said they had no other cars that they could offer me. I called customer service again, they started by saying that this location had cars to rent and should hold the car for 24 hours. After some back and forth, they figured out that they actually had no cars to rent out in the entire city. Then they proceeded to tell me I can get a refund if I cancel an hour before, which is obviously too late and not helpful information at this point. I asked them what can they do for me as I prepaid, and would be leaving without a car. After some time on hold, the associate said that they would give me a full refund on my reservation and I would get it in 7-10 business days, as well as an email receipt confirmation. This was 4 days ago, I have not received an email confirmation, and am currently unsure if I am still getting this refund. I ended up spending over $200 in Ubers for the weekend, more than what I was spending on the rental car. I reached out to their customer service again, I pray that I actually get this refund.

Made a reservation and when we arrived to the hertz rental place which was 20mins from the airport (which we ubered to) they didn’t have a vehicle for us. The lady at the front desk said she tried calling us but never left a voicemail. I missed the call because i was just landing from my flight. I tired calling serval times but no know ever answered. The staff member was very unapologetic about the situation and didn’t offer any help, knowing we were tourist and weren’t familiar with the area. We eventually ubered to another rental place, Avis/ Budget 10mins down the road, where they were very accommodating evening without a reservation.

We booked a car through your website from Sixt but it was booked with Priceline. We will never book with them again and that said if you continue to use this company we will never book through Kayak again. Your website directed us to Priceline who quoted us for car hire with Sixt and an insurance package at $88. The total package of car hire and insurance was appealing to us so we clicked book but got conformation back to say we had successfully booked car hire but that the insurance package at $88 was not available. This wasn't acceptable to us as we were booking a package that included insurance. We contacted Sixt and Priceline but were told if we cancelled there would be a $100 cancellation fee. Long story short we were unable to cancel so had to go ahead with the booking. When we arrived at the Sixt rental desk at Phoenix airport we were charged $280 for insurance which is substantially more than Priceline had quoted. This is an absolute scam by Priceline and on further research of this company the same thing has happened to lots of other people. We won't be back as customers unfortunately.

Navigating cancellation was very difficult as Kayak directed me to Sixt and Sixt told me I had to do it through Kayak. Then Sixt’s phone service told me to send an email and then the auto response to the email told me I had to call. Eventually I got a human to engage and they were unreasonably inflexible given the circumstances. Truly awful experience. I’m definitely blaming Sixt but I’ll also be cautious about booking through Kayak in the future too.

Line up at the airport was not good at all. Also once we finally got served, as we waited for our vehicle ( again in a long line ) it became apparent that when you gave a sneaky tip that you got serviced much faster. Poor service at pick up. But the car and value for Money was good.

Arrived at PHX airport to pick up a rental, for which I had a reservation. Huge lines were waiting for me and I didn’t even get half way through the line in 30 min of waiting. Some of the employees started making announcements that they weren’t taking walk-ins anymore and only those with reservations would be provided a vehicle. No one moved from the line. About 10 min. later, a frustrated customer left the desk and started telling the others waiting in line that she had been waiting for a rental car since yesterday evening and was told again today that there weren’t enough rental cars currently available and that it may be 10:00 PM before they have time to clean the vehicles returned today. Horrible inventory management, only 4 employees working the counter during the peak time of the day, poor customer service. I was only renting a car for five hours of the day, so I decided to skip the rental and take an Uber. Didn’t get my money back even though I wasn’t provided with a service/product. Definitely will not use Thrifty again.
