The updates at the counter isn’t fun and they need a better policy for wives/partners driving

The staff at the Portland SIXT rental counter have been the same for years. The same ladies. This consistency screams quality. If employees want to stay with a company long term it makes me as the customer want to stay loyal. I enjoy every aspect of my experience with SIXT Portland.

Everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful. I was traveling on my own with two young kids and the Sixt crew helped to quickly get me on my way. THE Jason at PDX even helped get me into a better car than the one I had booked and was so patient as I dealt with installing car seats and wrangling kids.

Bad from the start. GPS directions on Apple Maps and Waze couldn’t find the location, finally got lucky and accidentally drove by. You would think a business would make sure these platforms worked properly for their customers. Finally arrived and were told 6-8 people were in front of us and they were short on cars. After about 15+ minutes with the person being helped when we arrived, the next person said they were waiting for two hours. After another 10 minutes, we left and found an alternate option. I feel bad for the others who had no other options.

It took almost hour standing in line to hire already booked car. The staff at the desk were working extremely slow.

The car was very dirty and needed an oil change and fluids. It was not ideal considering we were traveling across 2 states

My rental was due back at 9:00am on 7/4. I got there 15 minutes before then at 8:45am. The gates were shut and locked and no one was there. I called Budget and they told me I could return the car to the airport nearby. When we left the hotel I decided to swing by the Budget office again and they were there. They told me that since it was a holiday that they did not open till 9:00 as opposed to the website hours shown as 8:00am. I had not been told this when I picked up the car. They were not apologetic at all and seemed to not understand why I was upset. They kept telling me they did not open till 9. How was I supposed to know that ? Anyway they got me finished and offered to call me a cab to take me to the airport. I assumed they were paying for it as a courtesy but nope, I shelled out $20 for the cab. My intention was that when I returned the car at 8:45 that I would walk back to the hotel... 15 minute ... then take the free hotel shuttle to the airport.

Easy and efficient.

Great car. Was upgraded, free of charge because the car I reserved was not available. Very nice. Staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely would use this location again.
