Then there is the engaging US Army Military Police Museum, which rounds off a superb day of sightseeing for anyone who is interested in warfare.
For thrill seekers, Fort Leonard Wood has plenty to offer. Take a spin on the go karts at the base, or try canoeing and rafting on the nearby Gasconade River. The countryside around the river also offers some superb camping sites, and is a wonderful place to soak up the summer sunshine.

The town itself has few bus services, although visitors can reach Waynesville easily by bus. However, the best idea is to rent a car from the airport, which will allow you to reach the Ozarks with ease. Renting a vehicle with a bike rack is advisable if you want to make the most out of the region’s many cycling trails.
How to get to the city from the airport
Getting from Waynesville-St. Robert Airport (TBN) to Fort Leonard Wood should never be a problem.
